Ostwind 3 OHVS for TSO 50 Hertz - 300 MW
The Ostwind 3 offshore high voltage substation is located northeast of the island of Rügen, which is about 100 kilometres off the coast of the German town of Lubmin. The substation has a planned capacity of 300 MW. It is platform number eight with 50Hertz involvement in the Baltic Sea. The consortium HSI (HSM Offshore Energy, Smulders and Iv-Offshore & Energy) will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of the substation and jacket. The substructure of the OW3 OSS is a steel construction supporting the topside with 6 legs with 6 skirt piles (i.e. 1 at each leg). It is designed to be transported in a vertical orientation on a barge and installed by dual crane lift with ILT’s and floating spreader bars. The substructure height is approx. 66 m.
