Are you an experienced E&I professional with a passion for coordination and construction in the marine/offshore industry? HSM Offshore Energy is looking for a motivated and dedicated E&I professional to join our team in the construction of offshore wind substations. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and coordinating our E&I subcontractors, leveraging your technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure safe and successful project outcomes.
Job Description
You will oversee the full subcontracting management process for E&I activities, from contractor selection to project completion. Working closely with multiple departments—including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, planning, and safety—you will ensure smooth and efficient E&I execution. You will also serve as the primary contact for E&I subcontractors regarding safety, quality, scheduling, and budget.
Your role will begin at the start of the project by monitoring and controlling the constructability of the substation in close collaboration with the engineering partner.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with engineering partners and projectteams to discuss technical solutions, lessons learned, and adjustments during the design phase.
• Monitor and control the constructability of substations during the design phase.
• Work with the Procurement department to select and contract E&I subcontractors.
• Coordinate all E&I activities during the construction of offshore wind substations.
• Manage and supervise E&I subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality project execution.
• Monitor safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
• Develop and track projectschedules, progress reports, and cost controls.
• Attend FATs or inspections when required.
• Collaborate with an E&I supervisor (or team of supervisors) during the construction phase.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders throughout the project.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven E&I Coordinator with:
• A technical qualification at a minimum hbo-level (preferably in electrical engineering or instrumentation).
• At least 5 years of experience in E&I coordination or subcontracting within the marine, offshore, or energy sectors.
• Solid knowledge of E&I processes, safety standards, and quality guidelines in the offshore sector.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors.
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• An eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a flexible, solution-oriented mindset.
• The technical expertise to address and manage changes and solutions pragmatically during construction.
