Job description

HSM Offshore Energy is seeking a driven and experienced Electrician to join our team. As an Electrician, you will work under the supervision of the Head of Technical Services and be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, including lighting, power installations and cranes, according to schematics, blueprints or personal designs. The role includes leading a small team of maintenance technicians to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute all installation and maintenance tasks for lighting, power systems, and electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Receive and execute assignments from the Head of Technical Services or Production Manager.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in lighting and power installations and electrical equipment.
• Maintain sketches and drawings of any modifications made to the systems.
• Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts.
• Manufacture and replace faulty components.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment for proper function.
• Identify and report any deficiencies, deviations, or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure orderliness and safety at the workplace.
• Maintain the functionality of necessary tools and cranes and report any deviations.
• Adhere to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures and regulations.

Who are we looking for?

• Minimum education level of MBO (Dutch secondary vocational education) complemented by relevant technical courses and training.
• Strong ability to work independently and solve problems based on extensive experience.
• Skilled in performing self-checks to minimize errors and potential accidents.
• Experience in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics.
• Proficiency in electrical system installation and maintenance.
• Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and guide a small team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and are a team player
• A good command of the English and Dutch language.
